At Work

August 13, 2007

Through its programs, USAID supports community development activities; to foster citizen participation, to support grassroots democratic action, to build trust between different ethnic and religious groups and to bring about immediate improvements in peoples’ living conditions. These photos show examples of the types of activities USAID has engaged in with the citizens of Serbia and Montenegro that have contributed to things like: the improvement of public buildings, schools, roads and sanitation; creating a better environment for business; helping communities to create and maintain their green spaces and helping entrepreneurs to develop sustainable businesses that provide jobs for local people.

Journalists wishing to use any of these photos to accompany articles may do so with the consent of USAID. Please write to comments-Belgrade@usaid.gov for more information. Whenever possible, we will send requested photos in the highest resolution we have available.
