Eric York Wallischeck

Eric York Wallischeck is a Principal Technical Advisor in the maritime domain. In this capacity, he addresses technical issues relating to vessel design, maritime operations and safety, port operations and security, intermodal transportation and logistics, and cyber security in the transportation sector.

Prior to joining Volpe, Mr. Wallischeck served for 28 years at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA). He most recently served as USMMA Chief of Staff. A native of Fairfield, Connecticut, Mr. Wallischeck graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a dual major in marine transportation and marine engineering. He is also a graduate of the Senior Executive Fellows Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Mr. Wallischeck is a recipient of the Department of Transportation 9-11 Medal, the DOT Bronze Medal and the Maritime Administration's Merchant Marine Medal for Outstanding Achievement.
