2012 Karen Wagner Leadership Award

Congratulations to the 2012 Karen Wagner Leadership Award winners!  This annual award recognizes the Army Medical Service Corps Human Resource managers in the rank of Major and below from each Army component and Department of the Army Civilians in the grade of GS-09 through GS-14 serving in key human resource positions who made significant contributions to the AMEDD mission, performed in an exceptional manner, and provided outstanding leadership and inspiration.

The Karen Wagner Leadership award was established by Army Medicine in 2004 in honor of LTC Wagner`s many contributions to the Army Medical Department, for her selfless service, and for paying the ultimate sacrifice to our nation during the September 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon.  Read more by clicking on http://www.army.mil/article/92604/. 


 TSG Awards the Inaugural Army Medicine Wolf Pack of the Year

 MEDCOM Employee Receives Meritorious Award

Congratulations to Ms. Susana G.  Researcher from USARIEM Awarded Top White House Award for Scientific Excellence

Congratulations to Dr. Maria Urso, a researcher from the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, Natick, MA, for receiving the Presidential Early Career Award (PECASE) for Scientists and Engineers.  Read more about it at  Researcher Receives the PECASE.


MEDCOM PAO Receives Diversity Award

 AMEDD TV wins DoD and Army Awards

Congratulations to AMEDD TV Video Productions branch for their recognition at both the DoD Visual Information Production Awards 2010-2012 Competition and Army Visual Information Competition 2010-2011.  For DoD, AMEDD TV took 1st and 2nd Place Awards in the Documentary category.  At the the Army level, AMEDD TV took 1st and 2nd place in three out of the five categories.  Those categories were Recruitment, Internal/Public Information, and Documentaries.  This is a great honor for the AMEDDC&S employees who worked hard as Producers, Directors, Editors, Camera, Audio, Engineering Support, Grips, Graphics, Animation, DVD Authoring, and all other roles. Read more about it at Army Medicine Televisons Productions Win DoD and Army Awards.


 

Order of Military Medical Merit

The Order of Military Medical Merit (02M3) is a unique, private organization founded by the Commanding General of U.S. Army Health Services Command in April 1982 to recognize excellence and promote fellowship and esprit de corps among Army Medical Department (AMEDD) personnel. Membership in the Order recognizes those individuals who have clearly demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and moral character, displayed an outstanding degree of professional competence, served in the Army Medical Department with selflessness, and made sustained contributions to the betterment of Army Medicine. Members are generally considered to be in the top 10 percent of their corps and field.  Inductees are presented a medallion and a certificate at a formal awards ceremony.
