Welcome to the new library of estuarine presentations, posters, pictures and video for educational use! We have developed this multimedia section to enhance and support learning about estuaries through a variety of formats. You are welcome to download these resources and adapt them as you need. Please provide proper credit to the authors and to NOAA's National Estuarine Research Reserve System.

This multimedia library includes:

Video Collection This collection will include a variety of topics ranging from the scientific process to life in an estuary. It will also include an archive of past the EstuaryLive broadcasts.

Presentations The table lists several presentations authored by NERRS education coordinators, scientists and staff. Please be patient, some presentations are fairly large in size and may take a long time to download.

Pictures The NOAA Photo Library collection spans centuries of time and much of the natural world from the center of the Earth to the surface of the Sun. Because of NOAA’s broad base of scientific expertise and the geographic range under which NOAA science and observations are conducted, the NOAA photo collection includes thousands of weather and space images, hundreds of images of our shores and coastal seas, and thousands of marine species images ranging from the great whales to the most minute plankton. Visit the collections section, choose National Estuarine Research Reserves and you will then find several pictures about estuaries.

Podcasts

  • Find three public service announcements developed for area radio stations in several formats: rock n' roll, rap and country western.
  • The Rookery Bay Reserve, in partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University, promotes informed coastal stewardship to a greater audience across the airwaves. "Estuary Minute” Public Service Announcements, formatted in NPR style, that aired on local radio stations can be downloaded as podcasts. Podcast topics range from local history to estuarine ecology.
