Caregiver Support

Caregivers are family members, loved ones, or friends who provide care for Veterans who are living with the effects of war, disability, chronic illness, or aging.  If you are a caregiver in need of assistance, please contact the Caregiver Support Coordinator, Rhonda Fletcher, at 540-982-2463 ext. 1372. Read more about our caregiver support program.

Extended Care and Rehabilitation

Our extended care and rehabilitation program provides physical medicine and rehabilitation, transitional care, as well as home and community care. Our Geriatric and Research Education and Clinical Center is also a part of this program. Read more about our extended care and rehabilitation program.

Hospice and Palliative Care

Our Hospice and Palliative Care Service provides inpatient and outpatient consultation at the Salem VA Medical Center. Ask your physician if a consult to Hospice and Palliative Care would be of benefit to you. Read more about our Hospice and Palliative Care program.

Long Term Care
