National Toxicology Program

The National Toxicology Program makes available data from more than 500 two-year, two species, toxicology and carcinogenesis studies collected by the NTP and its predecessor, the National Cancer Institute's Carcinogenesis Testing Program, are stored in a database at NIEHS. The NTP database also contains the results collected on approximately 300 toxicity studies from shorter duration tests and from genetic toxicity studies, which includes both in vitro and in vivo tests. In addition, test data from the immunotoxicity, developmental toxicity and reproductive toxicity studies are continually being added to this database.

CEBS Database

The Chemical Effects in Biological Systems (CEBS) database houses data of interest to environmental health scientists. CEBS is a public resource, and has received depositions of data from academic, industrial and governmental laboratories. CEBS is designed to display data in the context of biology and study design, and to permit data integration across studies for novel meta analysis. Read this brochure for an overview of CEBS.

DrugMatrix and ToxFx Databases

DrugMatrix is the scientific communities' largest molecular toxicology reference database and informatics system. DrugMatrix is populated with the comprehensive results of thousands of highly controlled and standardized toxicological experiments in which rats or primary rat hepatocytes were systematically treated with therapeutic, industrial, and environmental chemicals at both non-toxic and toxic doses. Following administration of these compounds in vivo, comprehensive studies of the effects of these compounds were carried out at multiple time points and in multiple target organs.

ToxFx is an automated toxicogenomics analysis application. The ToxFX analytical approach utilizes toxicogenomic signatures, specially-curated biochemical pathways and other relevant data to interpret toxicity-related transcriptomic data in minutes and presents the results as a detailed, customized report. This report is intended to improve your understanding of compound toxicity.

Atlas of Mouse Liver Lesions

The Atlas provides digitized images of mouse liver lesions. Pathologists and others can view the images to familiarize themselves with the spontaneous and chemically induced lesions seen in the livers of B6C3F₁ mice.
