Subcommittee Asks for Investigation of No-Bid Contract for Smallpox Vaccine

In response to reports that the Department of Health & Human Services awarded a $433 sole-source contract to buy a smallpox vaccine that may be more expensive and have a shorter shelf-life than existing products, Chairman McCaskill asked the Inspector General to conduct a investigation of the contract award.
