NASA Shifts Course Toward NEAs
NASA's future course for human space exploration has been subject to extensive debate ever since the Augustine Commission recommended a "flexible path" with "multiple destinations." The new approach was implemented in the President's proposed NASA budget for FY11, which would (if approved by Congress) substitute a NEA for the Moon as the next target for human exploration.
