Some rain and snow in the Ohio Valley today and tonight will come to an end by Thursday, but another light snow event will clip the northern basin. No other weather event is expected in the area until after the weekend. ...FLOOD POTENTIAL DISCUSSION... With no significant rains in the near future the flood potential remains low. ...24-HR OBSERVED PRECIPITATION USED IN TODAY'S RIVER FORECASTS... A quarter inch of rain and snow fell in the southern Ohio Valley overnight, but none elsewhere except for a few hundredths in the northeast yesterday. ...48-HR FORECAST PRECIPITATION USED IN TODAY'S RIVER FORECASTS... About a half inch is forecast in the southeastern basin today, but otherwise, only light precip is expected, if any, is forecast in the northwest half. Some light snow will make it into the northern basin on Thursday. ...RIVER BASINS IN FLOOD... None.
