Joanna Hall

HR Manager, Photon Sciences Directorate

Joanna Hall is the Human Resources Manager for the Photon Sciences Directorate. She has responsibility for the management of all HR-related issues associated with the directorate and supervises the HR Group responsible for workforce planning, recruitment, hiring, diversity, retention and resolution of work-related issues.

Joanna has been with Brookhaven National Laboratory Human Resources since April 2006, when she was hired as the first HR recruiter on the NSLS-II Project. Joanna has a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point and has received certifications in basic and advanced Army Human Resources Officer courses. She worked several years as an HR Manager in the United States Army and then as an HR Manager in private industry immediately prior to joining the Lab.
