Locations
Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) proudly serves Veterans from a 23-parish area in southeast Louisiana by offering primary and mental health care within 30 minutes of home for 90 percent of our enrollees. SLVHCS consists of eight community-based clinics in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Hammond, Slidell, Houma, Franklin, Bogalusa and St. John Parish, with dental clinics in Mandeville and Metairie. Inpatient care and services that cannot be directly provided are coordinated with other VA facilities and community health care providers.

Security
For the safety and security of our Veterans and staff, SLVHCS has federal Police Officers stationed at all our community based outpatient clinics, including the main facility at 1601 Perdido Street.  Officers patrol the main facility and parking lots 24 hours, seven days a week.
