The DoD Acquisition workforce is a key national asset. Its mission is to support our nation's defense by ensuring that our troops possess state-of-the art weapons systems that are delivered on-time and on-budget. To maximize the effectiveness of this workforce, the office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (AT&L) and Defense Acquisition University (DAU) established a workforce assessment process. The process will assess the competencies of each of the DoD Acquisition workforces. The largest component of this Acquisition workforce, with 35,000 federal civilians and active-duty military personnel, is the Systems Planning, Research, Development, and Engineering systems engineering and program systems engineer (SPRDE-SE/PSE) workforce. The assessment of the SPRDE-SE/PSE workforce is scheduled to begin in October 2009 and run for approximately three months, through December 2009.

Participation will be staggered by service/organization over the course of the assessment period. This website serves as a bulletin board for the latest information regarding the assessment. It also provides links to assessment-related documents.
