Post Allowance Back Pay Procedures

If you were a locally hired NEX Associate and worked at a foreign overseas NEX, you may be entitled to payment of post allowance for your time of employment. In order to be eligible for this payment, one must have been:
a. Locally hired (not on a transportation agreement)and worked between 1 December 2001 and 24 April 2008.
b. Hired into a regular full-time position (working 35 -40 hours per week).
c. A United States Citizen.
Current and former associates who meet the eligibility criteria and did not receive Post Allowance may file a claim. Associates who file a claim must establish their eligibility for Post Allowance during their time of employment. Additional information on the type of evidence required to establish eligibility along with Post Allowance claim procedures and forms are provided below. The CPMS website also contains information at http://www.cpms.osd.mil/

Claim forms should be submitted to the District Human Resources Office based on where eligibility was earned, i.e. Europe or Japan. As an example if the associate worked at Rota, Spain the claim would be submitted to the European District Office in Naples, Italy. If the associate worked in Sasebo, Japan the claim would be submitted to the Japan District Office in Yokosuka, Japan.
