Last night I spoke in favor of an amendment to the Homeland Security Appropriations Bill for Fiscal Year 2013 that would continue funding for the Child Exploitation Center, a program that targets and investigates those who seek to harm children.

CONGRESSIONAL BRIEFING HAILS COST SAVINGS OF BIRTH CENTER

Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard hosted a congressional briefing on a newly released study by the American Association of Birth Centers (AABC) that shows women who receive care at midwife-led birth centers incur lower medical costs and are less likely to have cesarean births compared to women who give birth at hospitals.
