National Airport Pavement Test Facility 10th Anniversary Celebration July 23, 2009 A 10th anniversary celebration of the National Airport Pavement Test Facility
was held on July 23, 2009. The ceremony took place on sight with 150 people from
government and industry in attendance. Mr. Patrick Lewis, Program Director of
the FAA Airport and Aircraft Safety Research and Development Group, offered
opening remarks. Honored guests and speakers included former Congressman and
Ambassador William J. Hughes, Mr. William Carson of the office of Congressman Frank
A. LoBiondo, Mayor James McCullough of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, and Ms.
Kate Lang, FAA Associate Administrator for Airports. Honored guests also in
attendance were Ms. Rachel Friesel from the office of Senator Robert Menendez of
New Jersey, Mr. Barry Scott Director of the FAA/ATO Next Gen and Operations
Planning Research and Technology Development Office, and Ms. Victoria Cox,
