Lieutenant Colonel Vincent R. Bryan was born in Bedford, Virginia. He attended Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia and graduated during May 1992 with a Bachelor degree in biology and a minor in psychology.

LtCol Bryan completed Officer Candidate School in August 1995 and was then assigned to The Basic School. After completing The Basic School, he completed thirty days of recruiter's assistance before reporting to the 1st Marine Division in August 1996 and being assigned to 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion as the Maintenance Management Officer. In September 1996, LtCol Bryan attended the Logistics Officer Course in Little Creek, Virginia. Upon completion of the Logistics Officer Course, LtCol Bryan returned to 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion where he served as the Maintenance Management Officer until February 1998, at which time he was transferred to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. While assigned to 2/1, LtCol Bryan served as the Battalion Landing Team Maintenance Management Officer.

In June 1999, LtCol Bryan returned from deployment with BLT 2/1 and was transferred to 6th Marine Corps District, Marine Corps Recruiting Command where he was assigned as the Officer Selection Officer for Recruiting Station Atlanta.

During September 2002, LtCol Bryan was transferred to 1st Force Service Support Group, now 1st Marine Logistics Group, where he was assigned to G-3 Current Operations. He deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom I as a Watch Officer in the G-3 Combat Operations Center. During his tour with 1st Marine Logistics Group, he also worked in the Operations Section of the Regimental Headquarters and completed a six month Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) assignment to 29 Palms where he was assigned as the Responsible Officer for the Mojave Viper Support Detachment.

During June 2006, LtCol Bryan was transferred to Providence, Rhode Island and served as the Inspector Instructor for General Support Motor Transport Company (-), 6th Motor Transport Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group.

During August 2009, LtCol Bryan was transferred to Quantico, Virginia and assigned to the Ground Training Division of Training and Education Command, where he served as a Task Analyst for the Logistics; Supply; and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense Occupational Fields; as well as Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF). During his assignment with Ground Training Division, LtCol Bryan also completed a one year TAD assignment as an Individual Augment to Central Command, where he worked in the Strategic Policy Division of the J-4 Directorate.

During July 2012, LtCol Bryan was transferred to his current assignment as the Installation Commander of Camp Mujuk, Korea.

LtCol Bryan's personal decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with a gold star.
