Community Relations
A Marine Corps color guard participates in a ceremony. The goal of Community Relations (COMREL) is to foster and support the Military-Civilian relationship between Camp Lejeune and local, state, and National communities.  COMREL is a task assigned to the Base Public Affairs Office which strives to boost public awareness of the unique elements and contributions of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune through direct interaction with Marines, their families and their equipment.

Requests for community relations support (static displays, Color Guards, parade participants, etc.) must be submitted by the event organizer or representative via the “In the Community” link for eligibility determination by HQMC (Public Affairs).  Upon notification of a positive eligibility determination, event organizers should contact the Base Public Affairs Office at (910) 451-7440 to request Feasibility of Support (FOS) with the appropriate Base staff and/or major commands.

Due to the operational tempo of USMC units stationed aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, requests for community relations support should be submitted in sufficient time so that an eligibility determination can be made and you can initiate a FOS request with the Base Public Affairs Office 90 days prior to the event date.  Requests received less than 90 days prior to the event day will be unsupportable.

Marine Corps Band requests can be made directly with the Second Marine Division Bandmaster.  To contact the Second Marine Division Bandmaster, please visit their website by clicking on the following link:
