MISSION: "To provide quality legal services and training to preserve the good order, discipline and morale of our combat and support forces."

The Law Center provides professional legal support and advice to command and other staff agencies on a variety of issues including military justice, contracts, labor, environmental and operations law. We also provide legal advice and assistance on personal and civil matters to military members, retirees and their family members.

The Offutt AFB Law Center is supported by military attorneys, paralegals and civilians. Using this Web site is not a substitute for consulting with an attorney about a specific legal problem you may have.

Claims
The DD Form 1840/1840R (pink form) must be submitted to the carrier within 70 days after delivery of a household goods shipment. This process can now be done online at https://claims.jag.af.mil. The online process only applies to Air Force sponsored moves. Members not able to file online may bring their pink forms to the claims office Mon-Thurs, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Questions regarding the new process may be addressed to the Air Force Claims Service Center at 1-877-754-1212 (24/7 customer service line).

* Legal assistance attorneys cannot represent you in court. Legal assistance is prohibited in the following areas:

- Issues involving personal commercial enterprises

- Criminal issues under the Uniform Code of Military Justice or state/federal

- Standards of Conduct issues

- Law of Armed Conflict issues

- Official matters in which the U.S. Air Force has an interest or is

Wills
Wills are prepared by appointment only Monday - Thursday at 0900, with no appointment walk-in service available every Friday 9 - 10 a.m. Prior to arriving for will services, please visit https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil to fill out a will worksheet and receive a ticket number. For those wishing to make an appointment please call (402) 294-3732 or DSN 271-3732 to schedule an appointment and be prepared to give your ticket number. For those who come for walk-in services, please bring your ticket number. Short notice deployment wills are accomplished on Fridays from 0900-1000.

Service
Legal service is available to active duty, retirees and their families; members of the Guard (Title 10 status only); and Reserve members on active duty orders.

The Military Justice Division provides guidance to commanders on nonjudicial punishment proceedings and courts-martial. Contact (402) 294-2358 or DSN 271-2358 for assistance.

The Area Defense Counsel (ADC) program provides independent legal representation to military members suspected of an offense or facing adverse administrative actions. Contact the ADC at (402) 294-3939 or

tabOperations Law 
The Operations Law Division generally refers to legal rules applicable in actual military operations. It is normally defined as that body of domestic, foreign and international law that impacts the activities of U. S. Armed Forces in war and operations other than war.

Commanders must ensure their personnel are trained to comply with the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC). All military personnel must accomplish this training every 20 months.
