Mission

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program is to address the specific needs of sexual assault victims. The SAPRO serves as the focal point for coordinating all sexual assault prevention and response actions within Marine Aviation Detachment, Patuxent River MD.

Family Care Plan

The Marine Corps has always been known for taking care of their own, now with updates to the Family Care Plan, the Marine Corps is making sure Marines have a plan if something were to happen. All Marines with dependents will put together a plan if they are injured or hospitalized.

MAD PAX River Mission

The Mission of Marine Aviation Detachment Patuxent River is threefold:
1. Preeminence in being the Marine Corps Aviation Acquisition Center of Excellence, in which all aspects of acquisition leadership and management will be maintained.
2. Excellence in taking care of Marines and their families through detailed administrative oversight, professional career development, and exceptional family support.
3. Continued development of detachment Esprit de Corps and camaraderie.
