September 2007- Red River Army Depot received recognition as a Shingo Public Sector for Excellence in Manufacturing Gold Medallion recipient for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Recapitalization Program.

September 2007 - Red River Army Depot received recognition as a Shingo Public Sector for Excellence in Manufacturing Silver Medallion recipient for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems (BFVS) Power Train Processes.

September 2007 -- Red River Army Depot received recognition as a Shingo Public Sector for Excellence in Manufacturing Silver Medallion recipient for the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) Program Red River was awarded the 2007 Theodore Roosevelt Compensation and Disability Award. The award honors a company and a government or nonprofit organization for its efforts to reduce the number and cost of injuries to workers on-the-job. The award recognizes organizations with innovative programs that show strong results.

2007 Image of RRAD Award Recipients

Red River Army Depot, Texas, is a recipient of the Defense Logistics Agency DLA) Department of Defense Customer of the Year award. It is given to a DOD customer that “exemplifies the highest degree  of professionalism; meets or exceeds criteria in one or more categories and clearly stands above the rest in its commitment of DLA. The honor is specified for Red River's teaming efforts with Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), DLA, and AM General to execute the Office of the Secretary of Defense Customer Pay Initiative. The initiative, which is specifically geared toward Red River’s High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Recapitalization program, will secure technical, engineering and logistical services and supplies support to the depot’s work for the HMMWV systems.

2006

2006 Award Recipients

BAE Systems has honored Red River Army Depot by awarding The depot the 2006 BAE Systems, Ground Systems Division, Bronze Chairman’s Award. Red River Army Depot Public Private Partnership Team developed a groundbreaking relationship in implementing a Public Private Partnership between the U.S. Army and BAE Systems Ground Systems Division. The team implemented Lean Six Sigma remanufacturing lines for the Bradley transmission, 25mm gun, Turret drive system, and power pack assembly and also established a dedicated machine to mold Bradley road-wheels. The BAE Chairman’s Awards recognize excellence in the successful exploitation of innovative ideas, the transfer of best practices and in delivering outstanding support to the customer (internal or external). Thirty winners from 117 BAE Ground Systems nominations were selected from these 3 categories.

November 2006 -- Red River Army Depot members will each receive a $1200.00 cash award as a result of the Depot exceeding its Net Operating Result plan and an additional $200.00 for extra safety efforts by the personnel for FY06. The depot completed operations $13.1M above the plan. Our goal was $7.1M and the final figure was $20.2M.

October 2006 - Red River Army Depot received the Robert T. Mason Depot Maintenance Excellence Award for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Recapitalization Program.

August 2006 -- Red River Army Depot received recognition and the Silver Shingo Prize, Public Sector for Excellence in Manufacturing for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Recapitalization Program.

2005

November 2005 -- Red River Army Depot members received a cash award as a result of the Depot exceeding its Net Operating Result plan.

Renewed registration to ISO 9001:2000 criteria

4 out of 5 Decorations for Exceptional Civilian Service were awarded to 4 Red River Army Depot civilians and presented by the Secretary of
the Army.

2004

November 2004 -- The Net Operating Result plan was exceeded resulting in a cash and Time-Off Award for most employees.


2003

Department Employer of the Year for Disabled American Veterans

December 2003 -- Completed transition to ISO Standard  9001:2000 registration

2002

May 2002-- Achieved the first ISO registered depot in the Army to ISO Standard 9002:1994

Center of Technical and Industrial Excellence designation by the Department of the Army Depot CITE Designation, 10 U.S.C. 2474:

RRAD is the Department of the Army’s Designated Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for the following:

- Bradley Fighting Vehicles

- Patriot Missile Re-certifications
