Certain applicants do not have to appear in person and may apply by mail.

This applies to the following categories of applicants:

• Children aged 13 and under
• Adults aged 80 or over
• Applicants eligible to participate in the Visa Reissuance program

If, when you last applied for a visa, you provided a complete set of your fingerprints and are now applying to renew the same category of visa, you may be eligible for the Visa Reissuance Program.

Please note: A consular officer reserves the right to request that an applicant appear in person for an interview after reviewing his or her application. All E-visa applicants (except children under the age of 14) will be invited for an interview at the Embassy.
