Briefly:
Steve Martinez is an economist in the Food Economics Division. Current research concentrates on vertical coordination of agricultural industries, niche marketing, and performance and efficiency of the U.S. food marketing system.

Education:
Steve received a Ph.D. in economics from North Carolina State University with a co-major in statistics. He also received a M.S. and a B.S. in agricultural economics from Virginia Tech.

Professional Affiliations:
Steve is a member of the American Agricultural Economics Association and the Southern Agricultural Economics Association.
