Mac Campbell

Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Congressional Affairs

Mac Campbell is the Assistant United States Trade Representative for Congressional Affairs. He is the primary advisor to the USTR on Congressional matters and serves as the agency’s liaison to Congress.

Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Campbell served for three years as the Legislative Director for Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) who is a senior member of the Senate Finance Committee which has jurisdiction over trade matters. Before joining Cantwell’s staff, Campbell was a partner at the international law firm McKenna Long and Aldridge. From 1999 through 2005, he served as tax counsel and legislative assistant to Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-AR) who was also a member of the Senate Finance Committee.

Campbell holds a B.S.A. in Agricultural Economics from the Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture at the University of Arkansas. He also holds a J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law School.
