Registration is open for the Astronomical Society of the Pacific's 120th Anniversary celebration! Science Education and Outreach: Forging a Path to the Future is the theme for the ASP's 2009 national meeting which will be held September 12-16, 2009 at the Westin SFO, in Millbrae, California. Weekend Workshop registration is now open as well.

Explore the world of space art, the night sky, and the creation of digital articles -- and reminisce about the Apollo Moon landings with well-known author Andrew Chaikin -- in the Summer 2009 issue of Mercury.

Now live: websites for two of the ASP's IYA 2009 signature programs, the Galileo Teacher Training Program and Cosmic Clearinghouse. Please visit the sites periodically as we add more resources and features. Share the sites with teachers and others as we celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.

In the new issue of the Universe at Your Fingertips, find out about the Spitzer Space Telescope and how it's giving us a way to begin to characterize distant worlds as real worlds, with sunsets and dramatic weather.
