James C. Charlifue is a Foreign Service Officer with 25 years of government service. He has held various positions with the U.S. Agency for International Development, Office of Inspector General (USAID/OIG) and the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). Mr. Charlifue joined the OIG in 2001 and held various positions while working in Washington, D.C. and Pretoria, South Africa. He serves as Chief of Staff and head of Legislative Affairs for the OIG. Prior to assuming this position, he was the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for the Millennium Challenge Corporation for USAID/OIG.

During his federal career, Mr. Charlifue has led audits and evaluations in Africa, Europe, Latin America, and across the United States. Mr. Charlifue has a BS in Political Science from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a MBA from the University of Denver.
