Col. Brian R. Beers is the Commander, 18th Maintenance Group, Kadena Air Base, Japan. The 18th Maintenance Group supports all wing taskings as directed by the Commander Pacific Air Forces throughout PACAF and Fifth Air Force. The group maintains combat capability for 81 assigned F-15, KC-135, E-3 and HH-60 aircraft. The group includes two aircraft maintenance squadrons that provide the only combined air refueling, combat rescue, air battle management and F-15 air superiority assets in the Asian and the western Pacific theater of operations; two maintenance squadrons directly responsible for flight line and in-shop support; and a maintenance operations squadron providing force infrastructure support for over 2,400 assigned military and civilian personnel. Additionally, the group is responsible for the largest munitions maintenance and storage area in PACAF hosting a stockpile valued at over $575 million.

Col. Beers received his commission in January 1989 as a graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps, Central Washington University, Ellensburg Washington. Throughout his career, he has held jobs at the wing, NAF, MAJCOM and Depot level supporting maintenance operations on A-10, C-5, E-3, F-15A-E, F-16, HH-60, and KC-135 aircraft. He has commanded two squadrons and has served as a deputy group commander in ACC and the CENTCOM AOR.
