President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities members Yo-Yo Ma and Damian Woetzel conducted a dance and music workshop at Savoy Elementary school in Washington, DC, one of eight schools nationwide to be selected for PCAH’s Turnaround Arts Initiative. Ma is a renowwned cellist and 2001 National Medal fo teh Arts recipient, and Woetzel is a former principal dancer at the New York City Ballet, and also is founding director of the Jerome Robbins New Essential Works Program. Both artists are among the professional experts that the two-year PCAH project Turnaround Arts Initiative is using to transform Yo-Yo Ma and Damiain Woetzel Conduct a Turnaround Arts WorkshopPCAH member Damian Woetzel works on dance moves with students at Savoy Elementary as part of Turnaround Arts.
