Volunteering

This is a great opportunity to join our team to "serve those who have served." Volunteers can perform a number of services; an individual's talents are closely matched with one of our many assignments.

To volunteer, call (785) 350-4323 or visit the Voluntary Service Office. We will be happy to receive your application or discuss how you can help us in our mission to provide comfort and care to America's veterans.

Giving

Why Donate? Freedom isn't free, it comes with a price.

Every donation, no matter how large or small, makes a difference in the lives of our veterans. With your support, we can maintain and grow the programs we offer and reach more veterans struggling to overcome their medical challenges. Your contributions help build strong, healthy communities and demonstrate the importance of citizen participation.

Cash donations are used for the comfort and welfare of our veteran-patients, including —

  • Canteen Books (used in VA Retail Store to purchase snacks & haircuts)
  • Transportation
  • Equipment for patient areas, such as televisions, DVD players
  • Support of patient leisure activities
  • Personal care products

Non-cash contributions are used to make our patients' stay more enjoyable. Items which are accepted include —
