The Center for Applied Information Technology (CAIT) at Towson University responds to the needs of the business community in the region by providing education and training in current information technology (IT) skills and practices, as well as providing consulting services to the community in information technology issues and solutions.

Graduate Programs
Applied Information Technology is the study, design, development, implementation and support of computer-based information systems to address real-world problems. The Center offers both a Doctor of Science and a Master of Science in Applied Information Technology, as well as six graduate level certificates.
Information Assurance @ TU
Towson University was first designated by the National Security Agency as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Security and Assurance Education in 2002 and was recently recertified for the academic years 2008-2013.
Business Solutions
As Maryland’s Metropolitan University, Towson University is committed to serving the region through our outreach initiatives. The Center for Applied Information Technology can provide your business with external graduate assistantships and joint research projects. We can also offer our degree program at your company location for your employees.
