Military Housing at Watervliet Arsenal

Watervliet Arsenal has 10 sets of officers' quarters (O1-O6) and six sets of enlisted (E4-E9)quarters located at Watervliet, NY. Quarters located at Watervliet range from two to five bedrooms. Three of the quarters are single-family housing with one of these being the Installation Commander's Quarters. The other 13 are of various sizes ranging from 1,400 to 4,000 square feet.

The Capital Region is easily accessible by air, car, rail and bus. Major roads include Interstate 87 from the north and south and Interstate 90 from east or west. The arsenal is located just south of Route 7 and right off an exit of Interstate 787, the arterial which connects to Interstate 90 and the New York State Thruway south of Albany.

The Capital District climate has four full seasons. Summer temperatures are warm during the day and relatively cool at night. Temperatures of 90 degrees or higher occur an average of 15 days a year. Winters are usually cold and snowy with temperatures below freezing being quite common.

The Capital District Region offers a wide variety of recreational and cultural resources. There are numerous local, state and national parks, museums, performing arts centers and sports facilities. The region has many large regional shopping centers.
