Primary responsibilities/activities: 
As a principle investigator, my research efforts focus on developing data to gain the approval of new aquaculture drugs and to expand the uses of existing aquaculture drugs and develop techniques to assess chronic impacts of pharmaceuticals and personal care products on aquatic invertebrates. I determine total drug residue and metabolite depletion profiles, determine an aquaculture drug’s marker residue depletion profiles, and develop and validate analytical methods for aquaculture drug residues in water and fish tissue. I also develop techniques to chronically expose daphnia and juvenile mussels to pharmaceuticals in a flow through test system.
