Information Resources Center

The Information Resources Center offers full research, reference and documentation services on American policies, procedures, people, and institutions. These information services usually are of particular interest to Spanish government offices, legislative offices, business organizations, law firms, academic researchers and teachers, and libraries. The Documentation Service specializes in finding information on topics such as U.S. legislation and regulations, the economy, the justice system, statistics, published reports and studies, as well as business, trade and the economy. Our sources are managed by professional information brokers and include selected reference books, electronic data bases and networks including PDQ, Lexis/Nexis, Dialog, Legislate and the Internet, periodicals on CD-ROM and in hard copies. There is a multi-purpose room that is used for interactive television (Worldnet) seminars and compressed digital video teleconferences, press conferences and workshops.

Publications

Public Affairs Madrid distributes only one magazine, English Teaching Forum, to professionals in the English as a Second Language (ESL) field. Several times per week texts of speeches or other important articles are sent to computer-selected recipients. We have a few Washington-produced pamphlets on hand to respond to requests.
