177th Fighter Wing Public Affairs
Mission Statement:
The mission of the PA/VI office is to tell the Air Force and New Jersey Air National Guard story, build public trust and support and enhance Airmen morale and readiness.
Media Queries:
All media contacts should be immediately referred to the 177th FW/PA Office or Community Manager. It is the responsibility of the Public Affairs Office to coordinate all media interviews, media queries and media access to the base.
Please direct all media calls to (609) 761-6259 during normal duty hours. If you have an urgent media query after normal duty hours, contact the command post at (609) 761-6001 and ask to have the Wing Public Affairs Officer or Community Manager return your call.
Community Relations:
The objective of community relations is to increase public awareness and understanding of the Air Force and the New Jersey ANG's mission. We support surrounding communities in all aspects, ranging from tour requests, ESGR flights, to providing speakers for outside events. Our goal is to foster positive relations with the surrounding communities. Participation in community events by Air Force people is desirable and highly encouraged. Base Tours:
Groups interested in base tours need to fill out a 177th Fighter Wing Base Tour Request Form.
Internal Information:
The 177th FW/PA supports the wing commander and base leadership by maintaining effective avenues of communication with the base community, consisting of active-duty and retired Airmen, their family members, and government and contracted employees. The PA Office provides photo, video and written support to New Jersey ANG members. For more information on PA services, call (609) 761-6259.
If you are a military member and would like to schedule official portraits, or have information regarding a media event that requires 177th FW Public Affairs photojournalism or broadcast news coverage, please fill out and e-mail us an AF Form 833.
The 177th Fighter Wing website is the official online publication for members of the 177th FW, New Jersey Air National Guard. News and editorial content are provided by the Public Affairs Office, as well as wing and tenant units.
Submitting stories:
Public Affairs is always looking for news and information directly related to the New Jersey ANG and its Airmen. Stories and story ideas can be submitted to the 177th FW/PA staff. The staff reserves the right to use, reject or edit any stories that are submitted. Although we cannot promise your story will be used, we do appreciate any submissions and welcome new ideas.
