The Army Substance Abuse Program provides substance abuse assessment and intervention services to active duty members struggling with such issues. Clinical assessments and treatment services are delivered by licensed clinical social workers who are specialized in the field of addiction and recovery processes. When warranted, ASAP providers collaborate with other health care professionals to coordinate a multi-disciplinary treatment approach.
