The Presidential Youth Fitness Program has adopted Physical Best as a key professional development component of the program. Physical Best is a comprehensive health-related fitness education program developed by physical educators for physical educators that focuses on teaching through activity.

The FITNESSGRAM® Online Course
Based on the FITNESSGRAM® Test Administration Manual, the online course introduces the user to the philosophy of FITNESSGRAM®. There are quizzes embedded into the course with an exam at the end. To pass the exam, users need to score a minimum of 80 percent. A general certificate worth four hours of study is presented on-screen if the user passes the exam. Entities such as school districts, organizations, or universities that request their teachers use the online course will decide if the certificate should be used for issuing Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or credit hours.
