Erbil Regional Reconstruction Team (RRT) Team Leader Andy Snow, the Embassy Cultural Heritage Specialist, and Erbil RRT staff participated in a small presentation of student work and a completion ceremony for the first group of students to graduate from the conservation course at the U.S.-sponsored Iraq Institute on May 27.  The institute is part of a $14 million grant by the U.S. Embassy benefiting Iraq's cultural heritage sector.

The American participants also toured the institute’s new facility with KRG Minister of Municipalities & Tourism Samir Abdullah and Erbil Governor Nawzad Hadi and their senior cultural heritage advisors.  The Minister is responsible for all forms of tangible cultural heritage in the region.
