Welcome!
By now you’ve received and accepted a job offer for a postion
with NASA These are your first steps on your NASA journey.
Although you’re already an experienced civil service employee,
this new phase in your career will require both an orientation
and in some cases updating of your employment forms.
- NASA’s Employee Orientation process for transfering employees begins before you report for duty at your new duty station and extends through your 6th month anniversary. The goal of employee orientation is to provide you with the foundation tools, resources, and organizational perspective that will allow you to rapidly become an effective, fully contributing member of our NASA workforce at your new location.
- To guide you through your orientation process for transferring
employees, you will first need to develop your personalized
checklist using My Checklist
Builder. Once you answer a few simple questions, this
tool will produce a checklist that provides a listing of
actions, activities, and forms that you must complete within
certain time frames.
- The first grouping in your personalized checklist is those items that you should complete before reporting for duty at your new duty location. Although some items are suggested, some are mandatory. You are strongly encouraged to accomplish the checklist items before arrival in order to insure your rapid inprocessing and easy entry into the workforce at your new duty location.
