  WELCOME ADDRESS

Welcome to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. NASA is a great place to work, but our family is only as good as you choose to help make it. You are joining a talented and dedicated employee team at a critical time in our agency’s history.

For more than 50 years, the men and women of NASA have contributed to major achievements in human and robotic space exploration and ground-breaking scientific discoveries, increasing our knowledge of the universe and our home planet, while improving life on Earth through new technologies derived from NASA research. I am inspired by NASA’s legacy of achievement and excited and energized about the challenges and opportunities ahead of us.

The NASA workforce is our most important resource – each of you is vital to all that we do. Meeting our agency’s current and future goals requires the dedicated teamwork and expertise of our highly-skilled scientists, engineers, technologists and professional and administrative staff across the nation.

As a NASA employee, you have a unique opportunity to support our mission and shape the future for our nation. You and your co-workers will be crucial in our efforts as we develop plans to bring about innovation and invest in technologies for the future. You can also help inspire the next generation of explorers to prepare for careers in science and technology and encourage students to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Your effectiveness in these efforts will be limited only by your imagination!

Congratulations on your new job and welcome to the NASA team!
