Source of Funds
Funds are provided through an annual appropriation from the Land and Water Conservation Fund. The funds are derived from a portion of the revenues collected on Outer Continental Shelf Oil & Gas royalties. The grant funds are distributed annually through a competitive application process.

Grants
Matching funds and partnerships are not required. However, projects that include matching funds, inkind contributions, or partnerships may score higher in the ranking process.
