Mission

NTM-A/CSTC-A, in coordination with NATO nations and partners, international organizations, donors and non-governmental organizations, supports the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in generating and sustaining the ANSF, develops leaders, and establishes enduring institutional capacity to enable accountable, Afghan-led security.


Area of Responsibility

NTM-A/CSTC-A oversees training and equipping of Afghan forces throughout Afghanistan.


Contributing Nations

NATO Countries: Albania,  Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, U.K., U.S.

Non-NATO Countries: Australia, Finland, Jordan, Korea, Mongolia, Singapore,


Major Units Assigned

• 3-4 Infantry Battalion

• 1-17 Field Artillery Battalion

• 2-44 Air Defense Artillery Battalion

• 650th Regional Support Group
