Notice: As of April 9, 2006, the fee for taking an appeal from a BAP ruling to the Court of Appeals has increased to $455.00. However, until further notice, the fee for taking an appeal from a bankruptcy court ruling to the BAP is still $255.00. The BAP has issued General Order 2008-2 (effective 12/1/08) repealing interim rules formerly adopted to implement the direct appeal provisions of BAPCPA. The repealed interim rules have been superseded by new amendments to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure (effective 12/1/08). View General Order 2008-2.
