Policy
The Federal Surface Transportation Program is amended every several years through multiyear authorization acts. The current authorization—Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21)—authorized funding for fiscal years 2013 and 2014. Section 1119 of MAP-21, the Federal Lands and Tribal Transportation Program(s), was authorized at $1B for both years of the Act. For more information on MAP-21, please visit the FHWA MAP-21 site.
