  • America Meets Mauritania!

    The Ari Roland Quartet jams with Mauritanian musicians during their trip to the country. Musicians: Ari Roland, Chris Byars, Zaid Nasser, Keith Balla, Seydou Sow, Noura Mint Saymali, Malouma Mint El Maidah, Jeich Ould Chikali, Aly Ndow and Cheikhou Ba.

    U.S. Embassy Hosts Two Iftars in Nouakchott, and Atar

    U.S. Embassy Nouakchott hosted an Iftar in honor of Nouakchott Imams. Over sixty guests attended, predominantly Imams and religious leaders affiliated with the Mauritanian Imam's Union Organization. VIP guests included an official government delegation led by the Minister of Islamic Affairs. Military officers, political party leaders and civil society representatives were also present
