DOL Mission
The Directorate of Logistics provides the overall
program management for all aspects of the Army National Guard (ARNG)
logistics program, excluding aviation logistics.
Subordinate Elements
Maintenance
Directs and administers the surface maintenance
program. Provides administrative, technical and operational control of
all surface maintenance within the state. Formulates maintenance
policies, allocation of full time manning, monitors readiness, and
manages repair parts. (217) 761-3597
Management
Provides guidance on interpretation of directives. Reviews inter-service
support agreements and new equipment training requirements. Plans for
the employment of assigned units providing logistical support during
annual training and drill weekends. Coordinates and manages all loans of
equipment. (217) 761-3797
Transportation
Located in the State Movement Control Center; the Defense
Movement Coordinator (DMC) is responsible for planning, coordination and
direct transportation for unit movements originating or terminating in
the state of Illinois. The DMC serves as the primary advisor for all
transportation matters, including unit movements conducted during
peacetime and contingencies for mobilization, deployment, and exercises.
The DMC will ensure transportation assets and plans are sufficient to
sustain operational readiness in the area of transportation to
accomplish all state and federal missions. The office of the DMC will
establish procedures for the submission of unit movement plans and data
and review, validate, and approve unit movement plans. The DMC will
process Unit Movement Data (UMD) in accordance with applicable
regulations and current automated systems.
