The Embassy advises U.S. Citizens that a protest is occurring in front of the Fiscalia Complex located at Carrera 50 and Av. Esperanza.  There are approximately 200 people protesting in this area, and it appears to be peaceful at this time.  Please use caution in this area.  
As always, we advise U.S. Citizens that even demonstrations that are meant to be peaceful can become violent and unpredictable.  You should avoid them if at all possible.  Be alert and aware of your surroundings and pay attention to what the local news media has to say.

The Embassy would like to inform all U.S. Citizens approximately 450 SENA students are planning a peaceful march today starting at 10:00 am from Carrera 30 x Calle 15 and Av Caracas x Calle 13, taking Av 19 towards Plaza de Bolivar.

SENA students from other cities and students from public universities in Bogota, (Universidad Nacional and Pedagogica) are also expected to participate in these demonstrations against tax reform in Colombia. All U.S. Citizens are advised to avoid this general area for the remainder of the afternoon.
