National Ethics Teleconferences

The National Center for Ethics in Health Care (NCEHC) sponsors a National Ethics Teleconference (NET) addressing a selected topic in health care ethics. These calls provide education and offer an opportunity for practitioners and others throughout VHA to discuss an important health care ethics issue.

Each hour-long call features an educational presentation followed by open, moderated discussion. The last few minutes are reserved for questions "from the field" to give participants an opportunity to discuss ethics-related topics outside the focus of the call. CE credit is available for VHA physicians, nurses, and social workers on the day of the teleconference.

The NCEHC is pleased to make NET call summaries  available to interested parties within and outside VHA. The NET call summaries are indexed in two ways - chronologically and by the ethics domain or topic addressed. To view a list of NET call summaries organized by date click here.
