Community-Based Outpatient Clinic
The St. Thomas Community Based Outpatient Clinic is a Satellite of the San Juan VA Medical Center, and was established in 1994 to improve access to Primary Care services for veterans in St. Thomas and St. John. We currently provide a variety of services:
- Primary Care
- Preventive Health Care
- Care of Chronic Conditions
- Pharmacy
- EKG
- Phlebotomy/Laboratory Testing
- Prescriptions: Routine prescriptions processed through the mail or My HealtheVet.
The Clinic also provides Podiatry services with visiting staff from the San Juan VA Medical Center. Services that are not available in the Community Based Clinic can be obtained via referral to local health care specialists or to the VA Medical Center in San Juan.
The VA Veterans Benefits Administration provides counseling and services in the co-located Vet Center.
Please note that Community Based Clinics do not have emergency rooms, and are not the facilities of choice in case of life threatening emergencies. In such cases patients are referred to the Roy L. Schneider Hospital emergency room.
Driving Directions
The VA Clinic is located inside Buccaneer Mall, across the street from Havensight Mall close to the cruise ship docks. From downtown Charlotte Amalie, take Long Bay Road south toward Havensight; Buccaneer Mall will be on the left.
