Providing Credentials to Mariners
Welcome to the Upgrading or Raise of Grade website. Here you will find information in regards to upgrading your current MMC. You will be required to meet certain qualifications which may include physical, drug testing, sea service, training, practical demonstration, and exams.
Furthermore, you must meet the TWIC and Vessel qualifications for certain levels. Below you will find several links that will lead you to the actual Federal Codes for each classification.

In order to avoid delays in obtaining your credential we have developed a checklist to help you complete this process. Please review the checklist to ensure that you do not miss or leave anything out of your application. Your application must be submitted (mailed) to a REC and not to the National Maritime Center.
Payment
We highly recommended that you use Pay.Gov - Credit Card Payment Form in order to pay for your Duplicate credential. It is fast, safe, and reliable method of payment. See Title 46 CFR 10.219.
