What Can I Do if My Travel Authorization Is Not Approved?

Advice

If the answer to your travel authorization is that it is not authorized but you still want to continue with your travel plans and are a Spanish resident, please contact this number: 807-488-472 (calling from Spain) to make an appointment at the Madrid Embassy. Please explain to the agent that you are requesting the appointment because when you applied under ESTA the response was that you were unauthorized under that program to travel.  The Consular Section has reserved appointments for those who have received the response of not being authorized to travel under ESTA.

The hours of appointments are from 8:30 to 17:30, Spanish time, Monday to Friday. If you call from Spain, the cost of the call is 1.21 Euros per minute if calling from a landline and 1.58 Euros if calling from a mobile phone, IVA included. The price of international calls is 10 Euros per call and you can pay with a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). In both cases the first 20 seconds of the call are free.
