To honor the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, President Obama is asking Americans to volunteer this Saturday, January 19, 2013 as part of the National Day of Service. Many of your neighbors, friends, and family members have already committed to serve MLK Day and throughout the year, and there are several ways for you to get involved, too:
Sign up for a National Day of Service education event, host an event, or find other events near you.
If you’re in the Washington, DC area, please visit us at the Service Fair on the National Mall. This historic event is an opportunity to engage with service organizations that are having an impact on the issues you care about.
